Foam Filling is a process in which a pneumatic tire is injected & pressurized with a special 2 or 3 component urethane polymer and reinforcing filler in a precise proportion using a special metering pump. The polyurethane cures into a soft, resilient, synthetic rubber core replacing the air in the tire. The resultant foam filled tire is thus rendered puncture proof and maintains the required tire pressure throughout its service life. Foam Filled Tires have a full footprint & are capable of carrying their rated load at all times.
The soft core is designed to provide a ride similar to air-filled pneumatic tires.
Foam-filled tires are suitable for underground mining equipment, aerial equipment such as boom lifts, man lifts, telehandlers
Foam filled tyres are recommended when speeds exceed 25 km/hr or when haul distances are longer.
Special grades Foam filled Tires for higher speeds up to 90 km/h and find application defence vehicles where punctures can significantly comprise performance and lead to undesirable outcomes.
